Close the door, light some candles and soak in some rest and relaxation. Even at home, it can get stressful sometimes. And the bathroom can be your little escape- a space that allows for some personal reflection or just plain peace and quiet. Why not take a cue from the clean lines of hotel bathrooms and heed the advice of interior designers. Following their lead, you can transform a plain utilitarian space at home into your very own sanctuary. Asian orchid arrangements lend an Asian spa effect. Natural materials like wood and bamboo accents elevate the warmth and coziness level of any bathroom.
Using yellow light makes for a more relaxed environment. Use candles in different shapes, preferably with natural yummy scents. Try soothing lavender and mildly sweet vanilla. A fluffy, white bathrobe caps the whole spa feel. A modern minimalist, Glass- and lots of it- makes for a very modern look. Install mirrors all around for the illusion of bigger space. A big one for the sink would be great.
