Private Matters

Kids are bound to outgrow touching their body parts. It is normal for children to discover their genitals just as they discover the rest of their body parts. For them, it is as natural to come across and touch their genitals as it is their ears or toes. As they begin to mature, they realize that touching some body parts make them feel good while others don’t. And although this may be normal, what is important is how you deal with the situation. No malice intended.

It is said that boys are more likely to discover their genitals sooner than girls for simple reason that theirs is external. Once children reach this point of exploration, the sensation of touching becomes pleasurable and they may begin to subconsciously do this as a part of their daily activities. Keep in mind that for children, this is not a sexual act and none of this has any meaning to them so there is no need to worry.
