Worldview encompasses how we perceive the nature of the world around us, our relationship to it, and the purpose of life. Every culture has a world wide view that serves to explain why things are the way they are and where humans fit into the grand scheme of life; this cultural characteristic is highly resistant to change.
In terms of communication behavior, developing patience and allowing discussion to proceed at its own pace without forcing it to a conclusion may be more natural in a go-with-the-flow culture, but difficult for many people who wants to get to the point in hurry so they can get things done. Try to imagine what might happen in a small group when individuals with vastly different worldviews attempt to create a solution to the world’s global warming problem. Worldview affects one’s activity orientation, values, customs, and beliefs.
